I was in Brisbane for work and we were all into trying out and having some good food. The first night, we walked into Il Centro which is located at Eagle Street Pier.
One of my friends said that she heard that they are well known for their Sandcrab lasagne. True enough, it was stated on the menu as their “Famous Sandcrab lasagne”. Obviously, we had to give it a try.
We ordered the Fantasia De Granseola as the entrée. This consists of 3 dishes meant for a minimum of two persons.

It came on a 3 plate stand and they just looked divine! We dived in straight for the Sandcrab lasagne. Oh My~ It was absolutely divine! The sweetness of the Sandcrab combined with the lasagne melded into a swirl of soft texture and richness in flavour, coupled together with the creamed crustacean sauce. The richness of the sauce, I have not had such a well made sauce in a long time. The complexity of the sauce coming from the seafood as well as the rich and smooth texture went really well with the Sandcrab lasagne. We were all in bliss for a while and did not waste any bit of the sauce. One of the guys had decided to go for another entrée and missed out! We gave him a taste of the sauce in the end. Haha!
Fantasia De Granseola - Sandcrab and Avocado Salad
Next was the Sandcrab and avocado salad. This was nice. The softness of the avocado went well with the Sandcrab.
We were feeling a little full after the entrée. I wasn’t sure if I could finish my mains after that. One thing I know was that there will be no dessert for me. I simply do not have any room for it.
I ordered the Warm Scampi Panna Cotta with Porcini and Truffle Ravioli with Crustacean butter sauce. The Panna Cotta in a main dish was something different and I have to say that it was good. It adds a unique twist to the dish.

We left feeling really happy and satisfied. Definitely give their Famous Sandcrab lasagne a try when you're in Brisbane. It's worth its weight in title!
