Cape Town reminds me very much of Australia. You have this feeling of being so close to nature with rocky mountain views and yet being in the midst of modern infrastructure and gadgets.
As we slept late the night before, it was going to be a relaxing day and we started by having breakfast at Oyo.
Goats cheese, walnut and beetroot salad with citrus herb dressing R55
Sautéed woodland mushrooms on brioche toast with Cafe de Paris butter R52
The food was just great. It was clean and ambrosial and I love it when the produce are grown in a way which allows the flavour of the ingredients to speak for themselves.
The weather was kind and we sat outside at the verandah enjoying our breakfast while feasting our senses with a view of Table Mountain.
A trip to Cape Town would not be complete without a visit to Table Mountain.

We also had time to head to the Cape Winelands and visited a few vineyards. My favourite from the trip was Tokara wine estate.
