Trying to get into Jose can be trying indeed. Nevertheless, we still try and hope for the best.
Unfortunately, the placed was fully decked out and the group trotted to Village East instead.

Balsamic and olive oil is always a great combination and the bread was happily wolfed down.
Soft shelled crab with watermelon and wasabi dressing £11.8
A very interesting combination is the soft shelled crab with a watermelon and wasabi dressing. The only minor gripe would be the crab being slightly greasy.
As I didn't taste the other dishes that the rest of the group had, I could only go by their reactions which seem to be satisfying.
Crab salad Millefeuille £8.5
18 oz Chateaubriand to share £39.5
The two Chateaubriand lovers were eating with glee.
Maple glazed chicken, ratte potato cakes, wild mushrooms £15.5
Sweet was the first thing that crossed my mind when I tasted the maple glazed chicken with the accompaniments harmonising well together.
We stopped after the mains and did not have desserts.
I had a great time with the noisily cosy ambience and not quite there attentive service.
Including wines, it came to an average of £60 per person (not including dessert).
While I had a great night, it came more from the company that I had than it was of great memories dining. There are other delicious and value for money dining places around the area but if you have cash to burn, Village East will serve you well.
Will I recommend: Yes if you are not fussed and have cash to burn
Will I come back: No
Have I had better: Yes
I had a rather bad meal at Village East actually, your experience seems quite nice though, but you haven't really sold it well enough for me to go back ;)
